Our Charity Dynamics retained strategic services clients receive weekly status updates that allow us to plan and track initiatives that help our clients reach their digital communication and fundraising goals.

Each week, we share the most innovative ideas we see in the industry and look for ways to keep our clients on the cutting edge. Here are three of our favorite ideas from the last month.

1. Timely Nods: The Olympics

Are you keeping a pulse on how your cause connects to other trending hot topics? Maybe you already took advantage of Pokémon GO. Now what? People will be a bit preoccupied with The Olympics this month and we’ve seen some organizations doing a great job of leaning in to the news cycle. Could your messaging be amplified by some timely Olympics-inspired website, social media, or email content? Unicef is running an inspired pledge campaign that includes automatic email opt-in and social shares to cheer on and celebrate the first-ever refugee team: Read More!

2. Who wins the Video wars?

Would you guess that video content is more popular among Millennials than Boomers? Guess again. If you are trying to reach Boomers (or any consumer over 45), you’d better make video a part of your plan. Boomers are #1 Consumers of Digital Content. Did you know? Boomers are in fact the #1 consumer of online content. Over 25% of Boomers consume 20 or more hours of online content each week. Nearly 45% of Boomers consume more than 15 hours of content each week; less than one-third of GenXers and Millennials do the same. Read More!

3. An Army of Animated GIFs to Get Your Message Out

We love how Erica Gorochow, a passionate design and animation director, is doing her part to combat low voter turn out. With her landing page dedicated to adorable state-specific animated GIFs, her mission is loud and clear. Plus, each image is easily shareable via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and direct link. It’s a simple, engaging concept to keep in mind for your future awareness and social campaigns. Read More!
